Aftermath

The Battle for Honor

We must battle for Rome. My followers and I have gone to Phillipi to fight the Roman troops. I will fight for honor, but I would rather die than be a defeated prisoner.

The Death of Cassius

Cassius thought Titinius had been captured. Cassius had lost all hope for us. He asked his servant, Pindarus, to kill him. He complied. I lost my best friend. My only true friend through all of it. I had my conspirators and my wife, but Cassius was the only one I could love as a brother. I mourn for him as I do my wife.

My Last Words

The current events have not been in my favor. I have seen Caesar's ghost and I believe that my end is near. I ask my remaining troops to stay with me as I end my life. It is time for me to die. I shall die for honor. I shall die for Rome.

The Tides Have Turned

After the Funeral

The new rulers of Rome are Antony, Lepidus, and Octavius. The conspirators and I have gone into hiding. Me and Cassius' relationship is falling apart. Cassius no longer desires to live and wants to kill himself. I convinced him not to. There is a lot of work to be done.

Portia's Death

I found out later that night that my dear wife, Portia, has killed herself. I mourn for her. I have lost one of my greatest treasures. I feel that things are going down from this point.

The Ghost of Caesar

While in hiding, I see a fog. This was no ordinary fog. This was a ghost. It was the ghost of the man I killed not long ago. This was the ghost of an old friend. This was the ghost of Julius Caesar. I was shocked. I had seen nothing like this before. The ghost tells me to travel to Phillipi. This is where the troops are headed.

The Final Day of Caesar

Today is the Day

This is that day that Caesar dies. My body is shaking, but this has to be done. It is for the good of Rome. Caesar has no idea of what is about to happen. Metellus is talking to Caesar. Metellus' brother was banished and he is going to ask Caesar for his brother to be relieved. Caesar says no. We were close to him. It is going to happen. We take out our daggers and we all STAB CAESAR. I stab last. My actions have shocked my old friend, Caesar. It is done. We are the people who gave Rome liberty

Caesar's Funeral

Antony wants to speak at Caesar's funeral. Cassius says no and I said yes. Antony shakes our hands and we have started a friendship. I let him speak only if I speak first and he doesn't talk bad about us. The funeral has started and I have written a speech. I ask forgiveness from the Romans and they comply. Antony goes up to speak and everything changes. Antony betrayed us and turned the Romans against us. We left Rome. I later received news that Cinna, the poet, was killed. Things have changed and they have changed because of us.

The Plot to Kill Caesar

The Plan

Don't tell anyone, but me and a group of friends are going to plan to kill Caesar. Cassius doesn't like Caesar, and Caesar is kinda ambitious. In my opinion, Caesar is gonna change when he becomes king. Things have been out of the ordinary lately. There was man on fire that was not burned. I saw an owl out during the day. Also, a lion was in the capital today and it didn't attack anyone.  I take that as a sign that Caesar shouldn't be king. I care too much about Rome to let something bad happen. Plus, they need me to carry the plan out. Cassius wants to kill Antony, and I said no. It will be too bloody and I only want to do what is necessary.

My Night with Portia

Portia has noticed something different about me. Keeping the secret about the plan to kill Caesar is difficult. Portia thinks I don't trust her. Telling this secret to anyone could mean big consequences. Portia literally cut her thigh to prove her loyalty. Wow! I have been blessed by the gods to have a wife like her.

Introduction

The Celebration of  Caesar

The people of Rome are celebrating Julius Caesar even though they were just rooting for Pompey. Marullus and Flavius were so angry. They start ripping down signs and decorations. I didn't celebrate that much that day. I saw it all. It was insane.

My Internal Conflict

I have been feeling different lately. My good friend, Caesar, has been praised as a god the past couple of day, and it has me on edge. Caesar is just like me or you. He has been in many battles and done great things, but come on. My friend, Cassius, agrees with me. Cassius has saved Caesar from drowning and took Care of Caesar while he was sick. Cassius says, "we were both born free."
